How it works
- 1Drop a FIT or FIT.gz file (or click to choose)
- 2Click Convert to GPX
- 3Preview the map if you like, then download
Good for
Watch FIT → maps & apps
Your Garmin, COROS, Suunto, or Wahoo exported a FIT, but Komoot, Strava upload, or a map tool wants GPX.
Course file for another device
You have a single activity or course FIT and need a portable GPX to load elsewhere.
Quick one-off before a bulk export
One file now; when you later download a full account zip, use Convert archives instead.
Keep basic sport metrics in GPX
Heart rate, cadence, and power are kept in GPX extensions when the FIT has them.
Please noteLaps, device info, and some training metrics can be lost. We do not write FIT back.
FAQ
Are my FIT files uploaded?
No. Conversion runs in your browser. TrackConvert does not require an account and does not upload track files to convert them.
Can you convert FIT back from GPX?
Not in the current product — we read FIT but do not write FIT. Convert to GPX (or another supported format) instead.
What about a whole Garmin / COROS export zip?
Use Convert archives on the homepage. This page is for one or a few FIT files.
Will heart rate survive?
When present in the FIT, heart rate, cadence, and power are written into GPX extensions. Laps and some device fields may still be lost.
